Epiphone introduced a new line of guitars at the NAMM show this year. Based on the soon to be released date of the 3rd of March 2008, I have not actually played any of them. Well, needless to say, Epiphone has always been a great guitar at an affordable price, and these guitars really caught my interest. I make no bones about it, Fender Stratocaster Guitars are my vibe and I’m proud to say that. However, when a Les paul or SG catches my attention is when it’s time for me to throw down what I know.

I have never doubted the quality or heavy duty sounds of an Epiphone guitar or Gibson guitar for that matter. Fender Strats are light in weight and have the playability and looks I like. Weight and tone (some guitars produce tones that are conducive to the type of music they play, so that is realistically a non factor) has always been my issue with the Les Paul and SG models. I don’t have any other beefs per say. They are great instruments. Period.

Epiphone seems to be trying to steal some potential Jackson, Ibanez, ESP, and Schecter customers with the new Prophecy series guitars. Each Prophecy guitar can be purchased with Active EMG pickups or Gibson Dirty Fingers Humbuckers. Prophecy series guitars also have super fast necks with 24 frets for lightening fast attacks at the fretboard resulting in sweet bends and pure tone. Thats a good thing, even though I’m used to 22 frets and a thin v-neck, my feeling is I will enjoy testing this guitar.

Epiphone Prophecy Series electric guitars come in the classic Gibson shapes such as the Les Paul and SG, as well as some more abstract creations.

When I was strapped to the tree of woe for 3 days it became clear to me that once these Epiphone beauties hit the market, metal-heads will have one less thing to stomp their biker grade Redwing work boots about.

Obviously I can’t actually review the guitar by playing it. You can bet I’ll get a hold of one when they come out. I’m anxious to hear the Active EMG Pickups and the Dirty fingers Pickups. Try getting some vibe on Active Guitar Tone Controls or TBX Boost as in The Eric Clapton Strat. It’s a very similar setup except for the discreet differences that give it a Gibson vibe, instead of a Fender vibe.

With that being said it’s time to introduce the five models available soon.

  4. Wow, that’s great! It’s wonderful that someone made this amazing blog. Please check this another wonderful site that defined “the prophet” for the modern era. This has made his journey unique: a journey that has taken his inspired message to schools and colleges, churches and synagogues, alleyways and prison cells.

  5. Wow! This Blog is great. Just like Kim Clement. Kim Clement is an diverse and extemporaneous perspective has gained him notoriety that transcends culture, race and religion, placing him onto a world platform. Thanks for sharing your ideas. Another thing is that pupils have a selection between federal government student loan along with a private student loan where it truly is easier to opt for student loan consolidating debts than with the federal student loan.
